Continuing on with the Birthday Scene, here is a quick clip of the audio-animatronics used for the peppers ghost effect.

Early Catwalk Adventures

Here are some shots from our early catwalk adventures. I think this was actually during our first "extended stay" adventure. And of course it was very dark up there in the catwalk area and we didnt have super-night-vision cameras, but I still think Hoot got some great shots here.

I remember these trips being particularly exciting because we were finally free to just explore, without the rush of the jump-out, get shots, jump-back-in trips. And we were finally able to make it to areas that we were just not able to get to before, and so it was almost like xmas morning opening presents feeling, such as when we finally saw where those models were, just hanging right there upside down in front of us. :)

Holo-Girl (Part 2)

Ok, so here we are, up on the catwalk looking back down into the 'living room'. We are basically right above the ride track, looking to the 'left' if you will.

And now I am looking to the 'right', and if you look real close at this picture, in the upper right hand corner, you can see someones elbow, hrmm, I wonder who that is? :) Also in this picture, pay attention to the gray box, with some electrical connection coming out of it. It will help put the next photo into perspective.

Why, it is none other than your captain, Hoot Gibson! hehe This is the photo being used in his profile currently. Again, notice the gray box in the lower left corner. Also in this photo, notice the mirror just below Hoot, it looks like a corner is broken off, you will see this mirror again in a couple photos I have coming up in a future part of my Holo-Girl posts. And I have no idea how/why the corner is broken off, just pointing it out because it makes it easy to remember and recognise.

Groves

Here's the pic I used for the title of Mesa Verde Times. I didn't put the usual "MESAVERDETIMES.BLOGSPOT.COM" Because this is a sweet wallpaper.

We only add that text to our pics to help people find this blog. Stray images get sent around and we find the lost sheep Horizons fans.

Notice the control room ceiling at the lower left. This was taken from the catwalk.

Thanks Hoot

First off I just want to thank Hoot for letting me join as a contributor. I am so glad that he started this blog so that we can share our stories, pictures, and videos of our Horizons adventures. It has actually been a long time since I have taken a look at the pictures and videos, and now that we are going thru them again it is really helping bring back all the great memories of what we did. :)

Anyways, on with the show. I thought I would continue on with the last few posts about the SeaPort area and show a few more shots of it. The first one is a pretty neat view I think, it is from up on one of the many catwalks looking down thru the 'holes' in the sets, all the way down to the sea floor. You can see the Sub Repair Room, then the room thats just on the other side of the Undersea Resort (restaurant) with the Sub on the floor, and then of course you can see the sub on the sea floor.

The second shot is basically from a ride vehicle of that floor just underneath the Sub Repair room and next to the Undersea Classroom and just on the other side of the wall of the Undersea Resort (restaurant). In the distance you can see thru the triangular window, the single guy just about to order his tasty lobster. And if I remember correctly there is another triangular style window hidden just behind that purple colored beam in front of the sub, that you could see the dining black couple.

More catwalk..

Ever wonder what was at the top of that staircase? It ended right there and had a ladder that was the first access to the catwalk. First stop was the mini daughter that was posted earlier.

The Catwalks

Here's a pic of Chief high up on the catwalk. You can see how close it was to the roof as it slopes down to the right. It's not totally visible here but you can see some water damaged ceiling tiles of which there were many. It was also almost pitch black up there but we had our trusty little Mag Lights. How long ago was this? LOOK AT THE SIZE OF CHIEF'S CAMERA! Haha!
