Let's brighten our days by advertising a movie

  4. But in other EPCOT news, the re-released Captain EO was awesome. Although, I am sad the 3D glasses are the old yellow ones and not the classic purple...

  5. They should add Stitch to the top of the Monorails like he's riding a Tron Light Cycle. Best of all worlds. NOT.

  6. Is there a website documenting how many other times Disney has DISSED their monorails by turning them into billboards?

  7. Hi Hoot & Chief!

I just found this amazing blog a couple of days ago....and MAN, I'm blown away! I've read every post and drooled at every picture. You guys really made it happen! You've preserved some special memories that may have otherwise been lost.

I was just thinking about futurism and how "retro"futurism is(was) so much cooler than modern, complacent, corporate mass advertising BS. That's when I found this site! Horizons and similar deceased Disney attractions, represent ideals the select few creative of us desire to see come to fruition.

Of course I've got the "I remember this ride from when I was a kid" story. But like most of us here, I think it brings back a sense of a less cynical, more hopeful world. Imagination & creativity are things that hold a cryptic essential value often overlooked by shallow masses.

So, with that said....Thank You for sharing your adventures with us! I'm 223.

  8. Wow, Disney's monorails must be designed by Starfleet. We all know how much Starfleet's shipyards like to route deadly warp plasma through every console so that they conveniently explode and kill Ricky Redshirt every time the ship is hit.
