We posted a while back about a couple of videos on YouTube that happened to be from our adventures. Well, here is the full version of that grove shot. It includes Hoot setting up the camera in the beginning, then after 6+ min or so, he comes back and picks up the camera to come find me. I have called this one 'Shot 1' because we have a couple more grove shots like this, but from different angles. Enjoy!
Very nice. This was the video I first found on YouTube that brought me to this magical place called Mesa Verde Times. It's very relaxing to just sit for six minutes and watch the harvester go up and down with the ambient noise in the background.
ReplyDeleteOn another note - I see you guys now have 128 Cool People following you. Maybe there should be a 200 party in Orlando when that milestone is reached. Everyone could dress like their favorite Horizons character. I'd be there for that.
Horizons party? Hell yes. We could even invite Tom Fitzgerald and if he shows we rumble in the parking lot. He'd probably be late though...
ReplyDeleteWhat is flying back and forth in the background on the canvas behind the harvester? Don't think I ever noticed it before while riding...
ReplyDeleteHey, I've followed this site, smelled the loranges in their original habitat, been a Horizons fan since he was still in short pants. So I'm a cool person, it's just that I'm also a curmudgeon who has no interest in joining a social media site. Thus, the official tally is off by one.
ReplyDeleteAs for the party, we shouldn't say come as your favorite character, because I don't want to see a bunch of us aging geeks in redheaded wigs. Now that that's settled, I want to be smoking jacket guy. We should each dress as a different character and descend upon Mission Space, the ghosts of attractions past, and angrily demand that Gary Sinise get off our lawn. You choose to go! We choose to come back!
I think the background flying vehicle is one of the Harvesters flying the crop off to the wild blue yonder.
ReplyDeleteSo I recall the sound of air when the harvester would go up and down, but I'm curious if anyone has any idea how it worked? When it gets to the top, it bounces a bit. Also there seems to be a square hole in the middle of the thing. Any ideas?
