Here's a mouth watering pic of the tiny animatronic figure in the Holophone effect! She was small but her arms moved. I love the background.
Look, folks, we have about a dozen pics of this 'lil figure and, on that note, I want you all to know one thing. This blog is for YOU. The handful of people who still love Horizons over 10 years later. Remember when EVERYBODY had a Horizons tribute site? Chief and I wanted nothing to do with that short lived mania so we held out. NOW is the time for the hardcore survivors to enjoy this collection and were overjoyed that we can serve to you on a silver platter:)
Wow, just wow. That is one of the strangest things I've seen from Horizons. Yet, you know we want to see more.
ReplyDeleteWhat are those, desert grapes? I can see the storm clouds from here.
ReplyDeleteMan, we are loving this site.

ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying these photos, and look forward to more! Excited to see what else you might have, the more obscure the better! Anything of the pool, stream and rocky area underneath the Desert Farm Kitchen? How about the Future City ("future from the 50's") with the lights on?
ReplyDeleteRocky area coming up!

ReplyDeleteName is Bill, long time disney fan, I remember riding this as a child over and over now im 27! Anyways I am curious how this effect worked... Was the reflection cast on the outside plexiglass or was it cast inside to where the woman was sitting talking to her, any info or diagram on how this was accomplished would be awesome. I was always trying to figure out HOW things were done at disney...
ReplyDeleteGREAT blog Hoot. I JUST stumbled onto it here in the future of 2011! Wait... that moment is now passed and not future-ish at ALL anymore... oh NOES! I'm being sucked back into the 80's at the same time I'm living in the 2010's!!!
