Requests

Let's share some memories! What was your favorite part of Horizons? Which tomorrow did you choose on the light up panel? What would you like to see pics of?

If there are things you'd like to see just ask. I probably have pics:)

  1. Not sure about what to ask for except for more unique and weird angles. Who knew the Easy Living guy smoked? Love details never before seen such as that.

  4. I was wondering since horizons is so tv show like has anyone ever thought of writing fan fiction about it or maybe expanding the ride idea and kind of role playing it? I don't know about anyone else but me and my sister always kind of hoped disney would have turned the idea in to a tv show or comic book series =)katie

  5. Actually, Katie, I started a comic book years ago about Horizons in which Chief and I were garbage men in Nova Cite. We didn't drive a truck but instead collected trash from the many AVAC tubes. The bases of the story is that we found disks that contained information about Nova Cite being a big Movie type set and not real at all. An experiment in future living! Then the "Truman Show" came out and that was the end of that:(

  7. This is amazing. I only got to EPCOT twice as a kid, but my sister and I were super dorks about this ride. I remember riding it over and over so we could get all three endings. We loved it. I was crushed when my Disney fandom was rekindled a few years ago and I found out that Horizons was no more. Thanks for the work you put into this site.

  8. In 1986 my Dad and my 2 younger brothers drove to Epcot ( 1600 miles or so ) and had a great time.

We all remember smelling the oranges and picking the ending!

This is a fantastic website---thanks so much for the effort you made. Horizons was the greatest dark ride ever created and ever will be.

Its malicious destruction represented the end of Walt's influence on attraction design.

With 40 square miles of land Eisner had to bulldoze it. Bastage!!

  9. If there was ever an attraction I wish they would revive Horizons is it. Without question my favorite past attraction. I usually preferred the desert at the end.
