Holo-Girl (Part 2)

Ok, so here we are, up on the catwalk looking back down into the 'living room'. We are basically right above the ride track, looking to the 'left' if you will.

And now I am looking to the 'right', and if you look real close at this picture, in the upper right hand corner, you can see someones elbow, hrmm, I wonder who that is? :) Also in this picture, pay attention to the gray box, with some electrical connection coming out of it. It will help put the next photo into perspective.

Why, it is none other than your captain, Hoot Gibson! hehe This is the photo being used in his profile currently. Again, notice the gray box in the lower left corner. Also in this photo, notice the mirror just below Hoot, it looks like a corner is broken off, you will see this mirror again in a couple photos I have coming up in a future part of my Holo-Girl posts. And I have no idea how/why the corner is broken off, just pointing it out because it makes it easy to remember and recognise.

  1. Like music? If you remember the EPCOT Center Opening Celebration, there was a very short clip in this Dreamfinder montage where he was running behind the living room in front of what I believe is the Nova Cite backdrop. Although, at the time that was filmed when the park opened, the backdrop must've been off site. Hmmm..

  2. I wrote this myself. Yeah, Kyle I have that Opening Celebration video and it must have been offsite as Century 3, ahem Horizons didn't open to a year an few months later. What a great ride, such a century of progress.

  3. That's my daughter she's talking to. So why is the daughter way up there? I assume this is a "Pepper's Ghost" effect but I don't get how she shows up on the holo-phone with all the skylights in the way. I always noticed that she was gone when you turned the corner and looked through the door from the side (looking between the vegetable racks).

  4. She's doing wonders out there on one of those desert farms. I'm shocked at how ramshackle everything looks backstage. For some reason I expected everything to be elegantly put together.

  5. Scootma, she is not actually reflecting off the holo-phone, you were seeing her reflection in the angled window pane right in front of your car. Just as you saw, when you started rounding the corner and could actually see in the door, the holo-phone was blank. :)

  6. Ohhh- I see now - those aren't skylights, they're at ground level and the daughter is at the weird angle so as to be parallel to them. So I guess that box that she's in front of must have had dark material right behind as well as most of that area around her so there wouldn't be stray reflections. I always thought they left that passage on the right open on purpose so you could see that she was really just a vapor.

  7. The photos in my next part will show what was on/in the big box behind her. :)
