Bad kitchen picture

This was the only shot I had of the kitchen as of 1997. IF I were sitting here today and this was all I had to look at it would be suicide fuel for sure. Good thing I fell out of my unsafe ride vehicle.
PS- Check out the windows. A nod to Horizon's neighbor "World of Motion"? Could be.

  1. Hey, the oven kind of has a face! I never noticed that before.

  2. Man you gotta love the color scheme on those cabinets. Verrry tripy. Makes you wonder what was going on in that pad, Especially when your medal winning robot is going crazy like that.

  5. Yeah I used to love the look of the mysterious silhouette of the kitchenware that lurked behind the smoke blue glass and constantly wondered how they got to them. Then I realized you don’t need doors in the 1930’s future.

  6. An interesting (at least to me) tidbit: though I can't place them in this photograph (I think they were to the right), this 1930's scene featured a few dishes from a 1950's line called Harlequin. It was produced by the Homer Laughlin company, makers of the more-famous Fiestaware. It came in about a dozen or so different "mix and match" colors, most bold and deeply saturated (unlike Fiesta's pastels), and angular designs that were "Moderne" (1950's modern) with a strong Deco influence. I'm fortunate to have a few pieces of it myself, but was never able to assemble a full collection as I'd like, as it's gotten quite pricey (it was originally sold at Woolworth and was quite inexpensive).
